ASX Trading Suspended for 4 Hours on 27 October 2011

The ASX stopped trading yesterday just after the day’s opening  for around 4 hours.

Some sources suggest that the “technical glitch” after the open was due to investor excitement, fuelled from the Greek ability to pay their debt, which resulted in the ASX servers being unable to take the demand.

Here’s the snapshot from the day’s trading on 27 October 2011.

ASX Suspended Trading for 4 Hours, resuming shortly after 2pm. The ASX said a "technical glitch" was to blame.
